Recently we added the XC24 crushing bucket to our variety of equipment. The bucket is located on site at Applecross and is allowing us to recycle broken rock from the course of the pipeline. Broken out rock from the pipeline is put into the crushing bucket where it can be crushed down to 0-40mm pieces and then re-used as pipe bedding. This saves purchasing and importing materials from the nearest quarry, which at Applecross is located over an hour from site, helping us to reduce our carbon footprint.
